Most of us know what we SHOULD be doing to get rid of our excess fat.

If you were about to wallpaper or paint a room in your house, you would most likely start the job with some proper preparation, like stripping the old wallpaper off before you apply the new paper, sanding the doors and then applying a good undercoat before you fininsh them off with a nice gloss.

You’ve probably guessed where I’m going with this ….. PREPARE YOUR BODY! Don’t rush in to any weight loss plan without first having a detox.

Waste and parasites are left in the body after every meal we eat, and poisonous toxins enter our body through pollution. This can prevent the body from breaking down and processing foods properly, makes us feel sluggish, affects our sleep, and makes us feel less inclined to exercise.

In other words, we’re beat before we even start dieting!

After you’ve flushed out and cleansed your body, you’ll have a lot more energy, and when you get the urge to burn energy, you burn calories too.

If you start exercising, you’ve taken care of problems 3 and 4, because more exercise means better sleep. Now, if you’ve not been in the habit of exercising, it’s best to start slowly doing things that you like doing. For example, if you like walking, walk more. If you like dancing, dance more. If you like yoga, do more. If housework is your thing … that’s exercise too!

Problems 1 and 2 call for a lot of research to be sure you make the right choices. Scrutinise diets and make sure you get one that recommends meal plans with foods that you actually like. After all, there’s not much point in going on a cabbage soup diet if you don’t like cabbage is there?

The same applies to diet supplements. Do your research and choose one with natural ingredients, to ensure there are no harmful side effects.

Sometimes the cart comes before the horse!

Here I go, rambling again. What I mean is, you need the diet and exercise to lose weight, and a supplement will help. But with some of the better supplements you can actually lose some weight without diet and exercise.

It’s not the ideal way to go, but sometimes losing the weight FIRST can encourage and inspire us to go on and make some small lifestyle changes.

Damaged Brick at Back of House – Recommended Repair?
Hi All,
Around 150 water damaged bricks came out from one of the external walls at the back of a very old Triplex. The house is wood frame, brick is just covering externally/cosmetically.
What is the recommended way to repair that: replace with new brick or blocks or is there another less expensive solution like shingles(?) What is the cheapest reasonable solution?

Who should I contact to do this kind of work – a carpenter, mason, plumber, general contractor?
